Transpire is a National Level Technical Symposium. This symposium every year conducted by students of B.Tech (Agricultural Information Technology) in Tamil Nadu Agricultural University since 2009.

In the current scenario, Information Technology (IT) has become the tour the force in each and every sector. Likewise, IT can be implemented in agriculture in order to bring about automation in agriculture as well as bridge the existing gap between farmers and scientists by meliorated Information and Communication Technology (ICT) such as Internet, mobile services. This symposium pools all sorts of information technologies for agriculture and aspires to ignite the students to put forth their imaginative ideas and realize the potential of Information Technology in agriculture. The symposium is platform to prove your talents and innovative ideas in  agriculture.

Over years TNAU has been inaugurating a lot of distinct courses and its latest innovation is Agricultural Information Technology (AIT) in the year 2007– to reform the fate of farming community.Agriculture is one of the prospective areas in which IT can effectively be applied particularly for the social and economic development of the Indian agrarian community. An understanding of the factors associated with IT adoption and use in agriculture will enable the development of strategies to promote IT adoption and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of information used in agriculture.
